It is a dry year here in Chile. There has been little rain in the last few weeks and the river levels are suffering from a lack of input. Snowmelt keeps levels at a constant low flow(read: very, very low), but there is still quite a bit to do, so the paddlers here have not been bored in the least.
Here are some more low water photos from a while ago. Some are from the Desague and others are from the Nevados.
Rodrigo taking a hit on what was probably our last run of the Desague for the year.
Hiking up the slide for the umpteenth run.
Sliding down for the umpteenth time.
Gerd flying of the kicker in the middle.
Gerd dropping into the second gorge.
Rodrigo falling off the twisty one in the heart of the main gorge.
